Development of digital tools and AI-based data analysis
Senior Physician at the Department of Neurology and the Innovation Lab of the University Hospital Basel. CEO of Neurostatus-UHB AG. For more than 15 years he is interested in the standardisation and improvement of clinical scales and measurement tools for quantifying disability in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) or other neurological diseases. He has undertaken various research projects, including a collaborative project with Microsoft Research (Cambridge, UK), focusing on the development of a Kinect-based motion-capturing device for a quantitative analysis of disability in MS. Further development of progression marker for tracking sustained disease progression in MS with the Neurostatus-(e)EDSS. Consultant for development of digital tools. Experience in verification and validation of digital systems (including IQs, OQs and PQs). Further interest and experience in implementing new strategies in QMS and supporting validation of software used in the medical field. He has experience and a special interest in research and clinical care in Huntington Disease. Focus on assessment of clinical and neuropsychological Symptoms. Special Interests in digital biomarkers and in developing procedures for DCTs.
