Swiss Transplant Cohort Study (STCS)

Die STCS ist eine prospektive, offene, multizentrische Kohortenstudie in allen 6 Transplantationszentren der Schweiz (Basel, Lausanne, Zürich, Geneva, St.Gallen, Bern).
Es werden longitudinale Patient:innendaten zum Zeitpunkt vor und lebenslänglich nach der Transplantation erfasst. Das umfangreiche Datenset der STCS umfasst biomedizinische, infektiologische, genetische, psychosoziale und verhaltensbezogene Variablen.
Die Datenbank ermöglicht die Durchführung von Studien zur Untersuchung der Qualität, Wirksamkeit und Effizienz von Organtransplantationen. Ein besseres Verständnis zum Patient:innen- und Organüberleben unterstützt die informierte Entscheidungsfindung von Patient:innen, Gesundheitsfachpersonen und politischen Entscheidungsträgern.
Innerhalb der STCS gibt es verschiedene Arbeitsgruppen. Die «Psychosocial Interest Group» (PSIG) ist ein Netzwerk für kollaborative Forschung zu psychosozialen und verhaltensbezogenen Variablen bei solider Organtransplantation in der Schweiz.

Subprojekt GERAS: Exploring frailty and mild cognitive impairment in adult kidney transplant recipients to enhance risk prediction for biomedical, psychosocial, and health costs outcomes: A multi-center repeated measures study design nested in the Swiss Transplant Cohort Study. (Oliver Mauthner)
