Recent studies have indicated that supramalleolar osteotomies are a valuable treatment option for early to midstage asymmetric osteoarthritis of the ankle joint. In the present study, we assessed the intermediate to long term effects of a supramalleolar osteotomy on the ankle and the neighbouring joints. For this study we evaluated a consecutive serie of patients with supramalleolar osteotomy.
