Monolith II is a follow-up project of Monolith. Aim of the project is the design and development of a improved perfomance of the migrationless digital archival solution for long term preservation. Whithin the project data densitiy will be improved and read back stability is increased. A modern tracking solution is used to find specific bit patterns on the data carrier.
