CHEF - Swiss High Energy Physics for the Future Circular Collider (FCC) - is a national research initiative running from 2025 to 2029 that brings together Switzerland’s leading institutions in particle physics to shape the future of collider science at CERN. CHEF serves as a strategic tool to sustainably develop a community centered on FCC science. Building on decades of Swiss excellence in theoretical modeling, detector innovation, and data-intensive science, CHEF establishes the groundwork today for tomorrow’s transformative discoveries. CHEF is an initiative by physicists actively involved in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) program and is supported by SERI (the State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation of the Swiss federal government). Collaboration member institutions include UZH (as a host), ETHZ, EPFL, UNIBE, UNIGE, PSI, and the University of Basel.

The groups led by Prof. Antusch and Prof. Greljo from the Department of Physics will work on theoretical modeling of potential new phenomena that could be discovered at the FCC, aiming to understand what this machine can reveal about fundamental physics beyond the Standard Model.
