University of Basel Immunology Community

In der University of Basel Immunology Community (UBICO) befassen sich zahlreiche Forschungsgruppen mit Themen der Grundlagen- und der translationalen Forschung. Sie untersuchen etwa die Pathogenese von Autoimmunerkrankungen wie Arthritis, Diabetes oder MS, Antibiotikaresistenzen und Stoffwechselerkrankungen. Durch die interaktive Zusammenarbeit der Forschenden aus verschiedenen Fachbereichen werden neue therapeutische Strategien in Verbindung mit der klinischen Medizin entwickelt.

Am Netzwerk Immunologie sind 34 Forschungsgruppen aus den Departementen Biomedizin und Biozentrum der Universität Basel, dem Universitätsspital Basel, dem Universitäts-Kinderspital beider Basel (UKBB) sowie dem Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (DBSSE) der ETH Zürich in Basel beteiligt.

At the University of Basel Immunology Community (UBICO), numerous research groups deal with topics of basic and translational research. For example, they investigate the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases like arthritis, diabetes or MS, antibiotic resistance and metabolic diseases. Through interactive collaboration of researchers from different disciplines, new therapeutic strategies are developed in connection with clinical medicine.

The Immunology Community involves 34 research groups from the Departments of Biomedicine and Biozentrum at the University of Basel, the University Hospital Basel, the University Children's Hospital Basel (UKBB) and the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) of ETH Zurich in Basel.
