Profiles & Affiliations

Fuanyi Awatboh is a PhD student in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Basel with a background in microbiology and infectious disease epidemiology. His research focuses on the application of Bayesian statistical methods in clinical trial research, aiming to improve the design, analysis, and interpretation of Bayesian randomized control trials.

His current work involves reviewing Bayesian methods used in clinical trials, critically appraising existing methodological and regulatory guidelines, and conducting comparative Bayesian re-analyses of completed frequentist trials. Looking ahead, his research aims to contribute to the development of robust, transparent, and policy-relevant Bayesian analytical frameworks that support evidence-based decision-making in clinical and public health research, particularly in infectious disease contexts.
