Profiles & Affiliations

My research focuses on the development, validation and implementation of clinical prediction models in surgery, with a specific interest in patient-reported outcomes and adverse events. My work also extends to evidence synthesis and the identification of prognostic factors for surgical outcomes using systematic reviews, meta-analyses and expert consensus methods.

In my current role (Postdoctoral researcher, Surgical Outcome Research Center, University Hospital Basel), I collaborate with experts at leading international institutions, to address some of the methodological challenges faced when interpreting and predicting patient-reported and safety outcomes in surgery. I am committed to support evidence-based decision-making processes through robust methodological approaches, which take into consideration patients and healthcare professionals' preferences.

In parallel, I contribute to the setup, coordination and conduct of analyses in the context of cohorts, registries and real-world evidence studies in surgery. These studies typically aim at evaluating the safety and effectiveness of various existing medical interventions.
