Traditional content analysis methods, such as those used in the RELY studies, require significant human effort. To explore more scalable alternatives, AI-based approaches were tested using sentiment analysis and topic modeling techniques with pretrained embedding language models. A new project is currently underway to improve the quality of work disability evaluations for disability benefit decisions. The project leverages safe, state-of-the-art AI technologies to process audio recordings of work disability evaluations, aiming to enhance transparency, consistency, and efficiency in the assessment process.
