About me

I am a PhD student at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Basel and a researcher at the University Psychiatric Clinics Basel (UPK), where I work in Marc Schmid's research group within the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Research Department. My research interests and professional work focus on trauma pedagogy, clinical psychology and psychotherapy, and developmental psychology.

Past research

During my master's studies at the University of Basel, I investigated the short-term and long-term effects of animal-assisted therapy on adult patients with acquired brain injuries. I explored how this therapy influences patients' hope and recovery process using multilevel models.

Current Research

As a PhD student, my current research focuses on psychoeducational interventions for children and adolescents. In my ongoing first study, I am systematically reviewing the effects of these interventions on minors who have experienced various potentially traumatic events. The next planned study will systematically review psychoeducational attachment-oriented interventions and analyse their impact on improving parent-child relationships and attachment. Finally, using a mixed-methods approach, we plan to evaluate the acceptance and feasibility of a video-based psychoeducational intervention for children and adolescents. This study will aim to uncover its benefits, potential risks, and overall impact on the target group.
