About me
I am a PhD student at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Basel and work at the University Psychiatric Clinics Basel in Marc Schmid's research group in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Research Department. My research interests and professional work focus on clinical psychology, psychotherapy, developmental psychology, and trauma pedagogy.
Past research
During my master's studies at the University of Basel, I investigated the short-term and long-term effects of animal-assisted therapy on adult patients with acquired brain injuries. I explored how this therapy influences patients' hope and recovery processes using multilevel models.
Current Research
As a PhD student, my research focuses on prevention and early intervention, including the early identification of attachment patterns and the development of psychoeducational approaches for children and adolescents. In my first study, I am conducting a systematic review on the effects of psychoeducation for minors who have experienced various potentially traumatic events.
A review of attachment styles will support the ARI research project, which aims to validate the German version of the Attachment Relationship Inventory – Caregiver Perception 2–5 (ARI-CP 2–5) and develop psychoeducational videos to provide parents with attachment-based feedback. The overarching goal of our project is to enhance early diagnosis and prevention by raising awareness of attachment styles, ultimately supporting the psychosocial development of children. Several scientific publications are planned as a result of this study, including the validation of the German ARI-CP 2–5 questionnaire.
